4 Yonkers Residents Receive Employee Awards from Leake & Watts

Agency recognized Stephen Matos, Ava Shepard, Brian White, and Bernard Williams this week for excellence and service.

Four Yonkers residents were recognized this week by their employer, Leake & Watts, an award-winning Yonkers-based human-services agency. Stephen Matos (shown at right above with Alan Mucatel, executive director of Leake & Watts), the Travel & Medical Coordinator for the agency’s Passage of Hope program, received the Employee Award for Managerial Excellence. Brian White, a program administrator at the Residential Treatment Center, received an Employee Excellence Award for Innovation. Bernard Williams, a teaching assistant at the Biondi School, received an award for 30 years of service at Leake & Watts.

Ava Shepard (shown above with Mr. Mucatel), a teacher at the Biondi School, received an award for 35 years of service at Leake & Watts.

With 1,400 employees, Leake & Watts operates 47 programs at 27 sites to provide vital support to 13,000 of the most vulnerable children, adults, and families in the New York metropolitan area.
