The Community Fund Launches

The Community Fund of Bronxville, Eastchester and Tuckahoe, Inc. has launched its 2017 Campaign to raise funds for non-profit agencies

The Community Fund of Bronxville, Eastchester and Tuckahoe, Inc. has launched its 2017 Campaign to raise funds for the 20+ non-profit social-service agencies and community programs that rely on grants made directly from The Community Fund.

President of the CF Board, Neal Denning stated, “The Community Fund’s impact on our residents is felt throughout the BET community on a daily basis. Many of the local services and programs we all benefit from count on grants made by The Community Fund. We are fortunate to have such a valuable resource in our BET community and hope people will acknowledge this by donating generously to our Annual Campaign.”

For 97 years, The Community Fund has been supporting key community programs for the residents of the Bronxville 10708, Eastchester and Tuckahoe (BET) area, including:

  • Drug and alcohol education and awareness programs for children and parents, provided by the Maxwell Institute and Eastchester and Tuckahoe D.A.R.E.
  • Counseling and support services offered to cancer patients and their families through the Cancer Support Team
  • Youth programs designed to foster positive relationships with local police through the Tuckahoe Police Department
  • Programs and support services for our seniors provided by Eastchester Senior Programs & Services, Gramatan Village and the Bronxville and Tuckahoe Senior Centers

“We cannot state enough how grateful we are to all those who contribute their knowledge, time and money in support of The Community Fund.” stated Melinda Burge, Executive Director of the Fund. Burge continued, “Because of the incredible generosity of those who live here, we are able to channel resources back into the community through the most effective programs which serve the residents of Bronxville, Bronxville P.O., Eastchester and Tuckahoe”.

Annette Dowling, Campaign Co-Chair for Bronxville added, “I feel such a strong sense of pride for what our Community Fund provides to further the great work being done for those in need.” The other Co-Chairs for the 2017 Campaign are Doug Meyer for Bronxville and Michael Calano for Eastchester/Tuckahoe.

The Annual Campaign each fall is the Community Fund’s principal source of fundraising each year. Its success determines the amount of grant allocations distributed to the Fund’s member agencies and community programs serving the residents of Bronxville 10708, Eastchester and Tuckahoe.
