Community Fund President Letter to the Editor

To the Editor,

I am writing to encourage our fellow residents to contribute to the 2016-2017 annual campaign for The Community Fund of Bronxville, Eastchester and Tuckahoe.

Our fundraising goal is $525,000, 100% of which is directed to over 20 agencies and community programs that support residents of Bronxville, the Bronxville PO area, Eastchester and Tuckahoe (the “BET community”).

The Community Fund’s impact is felt throughout the BET community and is indicative of the wonderful community we are a part of. The Fund’s initiatives impact the circle of life within the BET community helping with youth initiatives including the Eastchester Community Action Program, substance abuse education programs like DARE and the Maxwell Institute in our schools and assisting seniors throughout our community. In the coming weeks the Eastchester Volunteer Ambulance Corp will take delivery of their brand new state of the art ambulance which is funded by the Community Fund. The Community Fund highlights both the needs within the BET community and the generosity and compassion of our residents.

We sincerely appreciate your consideration of The Community Fund as you plan your year-end giving. Donations prior to January are crucial for determining the level of financial support we can provide to the agencies that deliver essential services to our residents.
