Childhood obesity is a common condition that can lead to a lifetime of weight-related health conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Improving the entire family’s nutrition and exercise habits is one of the best ways to achieve a healthy weight. If managed early on, children can lose weight and adopt healthy diet and exercise behaviors that will shape their future health. Katie Campbell RD, CDN, NYP/Lawrence’s outpatient dietitian, will explain how parents can ensure that their children are getting the proper nutrition needed to maintain a healthy weight.
