“Gathering of Friends” Celebrates 20th Anniversary

Bronxville, NY- The “Gathering of Friends” is Village Lutheran Church & The Chapel School’s annual gala and largest fundraiser of the year. But the upcoming event is even more special because it will be the 20th Anniversary of the Gathering of Friends. The theme this year is “A Roaring 20s Soiree,” especially appropriate given that it will take place on March 20, 2020.

Event Co-Chairs Kathleen Donaghy and Michelle Oliva said, “We thought the theme just tied in perfectly with the date and anniversary.”

Gathering of Friends is the largest yearly fundraiser for Village Lutheran Church and The Chapel School, a grand evening of dinner and dancing is a wonderful way to celebrate the ministry's vital role in the life of the community. Funds raised at the event support academic, social, emotional and spiritual programming, fellowship, stewardship, and community service initiatives that enable people of all ages to make a positive impact on the local and broader community.

“We are currently in the process of securing donations, benefactors and sponsorships,” stated Kim Zwisdak, Development Office Project Manager. “Since this is the 20th Anniversary of the event we are hoping to have much greater outreach in the community.”
