Lutheran Schools Week Celebrations at The Chapel School!

Tuesday, March 5, 2019 ~ BRONXVILLE, NY. In the midst of March snow, The Chapel School (TCS) kicked off its 2019 Lutheran Schools Week Celebrations with a special worship service on Sunday, March 3 featuring TCS's Prep and Select Choirs, a Transfiguration Sunday message from Sr. Pastor Rev. Dr. Robert Hartwell sharing why "'Tis Good To Be Here, Lord!", and the presentation of the 2019 Chapel School Award to Mrs. Adrienne Stewart, who for 12 years as a TCS parent has run for Team Chapel, Co-Chaired the Gathering of Friends Dinner Auction (2015), served as PTO Vice President and President and Co-Chaired the PTO Book Fair. "What a perfect start to this annual celebratory week," commented long-time middle school ELA teacher Mrs. Maryann Cahalin. "Everything from the message to the music to Adrienne being honored was so inspiring." Later that afternoon, players, coaches and families of seven Chapel Chargers Basketball Teams convened at Concordia College's Meyer Athletic Center to celebrate the 2018-2019 CYO Basketball Season with Awards, the presentation of NEW game balls courtesy of a grant from The Blue Ribbon Foundation, and the Annual Staculty versus Students Game. The final celebration was a Welcome Home for 32 "Once and Always" Chargers, 28 of whom played in TCS's Annual Charger Alumni Game. Principal Michael Schultz, commented, "In a year when we are focused on 'All Things New!', it is nice to have these traditions and it makes me so proud to be a part of a community that is based in such timeless love."
