New Year's Eve at Grand Central Oyster Bar: Dessert and a la Carte Menus

New Year's Eve at the Grand Central Oyster Bar; Visions of Sugar Plums from Januz Noka, seafood soiree from Sandy Ingber on Saturday

For families, couples, friends and “old acquaintances” looking for an earlier epicurean destination this New Year’s Eve, (Saturday, December 31) in New York City, the last-day-of-the-year reveling leads to the historic Grand Central Oyster Bar. Be it the visions of sugarplums dancing from pastry chef Januz Noka’s dessert menu, or a seafood soiree on executive chef Sandy Ingber’s a la carte menu, the culinary confections and bounty from the waters are sure to have the taste buds exploding to ring in 2017 “below sea level” at Grand Central Terminal.

The historic seafood eatery established in 1913 is on the bucket list for New Yorkers, tourists and world travelers alike, whether visiting the tree at Rockefeller Center, shopping for post-Christmas bargains or watching the ball drop later at Times Square.
Ingber, a.k.a the “Bishop of Bivalves,” and Januz “Living la Vida” Noka, each will carefully prepare menus for each celebration with a flair.
The Oyster Bar will be open from 11:30 AM for lunch through 10:00 PM for dinner reservations. Call 212-490-6650, or visit www.oysterbarny.com.
The New Year’s Eve entrees include sumptuous seafood specials such as Maine Lobster Newburg, Alaskan Red King Crabmeat over Spinach Salad, and Oyster Bar Surf & Turf featuring petite grilled sirloin strip and jumbo shrimp scampi.
