Entrepreneurial fever hit St. Joseph School in Bronxville this past winter. Ten seventh graders participated in a six-week course based off the popular television series Shark Tank. Each week the students met to discuss product development, use of social media, marketing and budgeting. In their final class, they each pitched their product to an audience of teachers and parents. The program was brought to S.J.S. by teenage entrepreneurial brothers Michael and Marc Guberti. Founders of Business Whiz Kids, they focus their instruction on what they believe to be the four pillars of business success: Passion, Product, Promote to Profit, and Propel. The 7th grade students were rewarded with Barnes & Noble gift cards and a creative introduction to the business world.
