SL2 is a cross-over initiative between TCS's thriving Service Learning and Student Leadership Programs. Under the guidance of religion teachers Ms. Danielle Gerbosi and Mrs. Joan Kennedy, TCS students created presentations to persuade a panel of judges to select their charitable organization to be the focus of a service learning project and recipient of a month of student offerings. Each proposal included: (a) a project outline/timeline; (b) a marketing plan with slogans, posters and videos to encourage participation; (c) a fundraising plan that extended beyond the weekly offerings; and, (d) an age-appropriate service learning activity for each grade-level team (K-2, 3-5, 6-8).
