L Train Tracks Catch Fire Near Bedford Avenue (patch.com) — Morning L train riders in Williamsburg faced delays after a rubbish fire broke out on the tracks just north of Bedford Avenue station in Brooklyn. DOH: First person detected with West Nile Virus in NYC this year (brooklyneagle.com) — Health officials have confirmed this year's first West Nile virus case in a New Yorker and are responding with pesticide spraying across eastern and southern Brooklyn neighborhoods this week.
