Man Who Prostituted Teens From Brooklyn Motel Gets Jail Time: DA
Tariq "Ricky" Washington was found guilty of luring teenaged girls to Brooklyn and forcing them into prostitution, prosecutors said.

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN β An East New York man faces almost a decade in prison for prostituting a group of teenaged girls whom he lured to New York then drugged, beat and raped, prosecutors said.
Tariq "Ricky" Washington, 23, was sentenced to up to 9 years in prison for prostituting nine young women, most of whom were about 15-years-old, who were lured from Philadelphia, Baltimore and Cleveland on Backpage.com, according to Brooklyn prosecutors.
Washington and his partner Jonathan Harris allegedly forced the teenagers to have sex with men for payment in a Brooklyn motel from 2015 to 2016, then drugged and beat those refused to work, said prosecutors.

The pair were caught when an 18-year-old victim from Philadelphia escaped and told the NYPD she had been beaten and raped, prosecutors said.
Washington was found guilty of sex trafficking and sentenced Wednesday to 4 Β½ to 9 years in Brooklyn Criminal Court, prosecutors said.

Charges are still pending against Harris, according to prosecutors.
