EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — Police have arrested the gunman who killed a man and critically injured a woman in a Starrett City apartment building Tuesday.
Durante Tirado, 20, has been charged with murder for shooting Kahliq Francis, 38, inside his 16th-floor apartment at 1530 Pennsylvania Ave. around 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 21, said police.
He shot Francis in the head, and opened fire on Chaleen Mason, 32, but she survived the fusillade, sources said. After Tirado left, she staggered to a friend's 12th floor apartment and called 911 on the way, sources said.
