Teen Shot Dead At The Bushwick Houses, Police Say

The 15-year-old who was shot dead Tuesday afternoon is one of at least five teenagers who has been killed in Brooklyn this past month.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — A teenaged boy was shot dead in broad daylight Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The 15-year-old boy, whose name was not immediately released, was one of two people shot at the Bushwick Houses at 370 Bushwick Ave. at about 2:50 p.m., said police.

The teen was shot in the torso and a bullet grazed a 42-year-old man’s cheek, police said.

Both victims were rushed to Woodhull Hospital where the 15-year-old later died, said police.

A suspect was taken into custody and the investigation remains ongoing, according to police.

At least five teenagers have been killed in Brooklyn in the past month. A 15-year-old and 16-year-old were murdered in East New York on Saturday, Justin Delapara, 17, shot 16-year-old Latrell Brown in the head in Bed-Stuy last week, and an 18-year-old was found shot dead in Flatbush in June.
