• Scouting America Long Island names first CEO (libn.com) — Calverton families involved in scouting may see changes as a new CEO takes over Scouting America Long Island, which oversees the Baiting Hollow Scout Camp in town. Veteran scout leader Chris Coscia now leads the merged Long Island council, aiming to expand youth programs, strengthen partnerships, and support more than 10,000 scouts and 5,000 volunteers across the region.
