Citi Bike Launches Expansion Project to Stretch Network to Top of Central Park
Soon enough the Citi Bike program will have stations spanning the entire length of Central Park.
CENTRAL PARK, NY — Grabbing a Citi Bike to ride through Central Park will be easier by the end of 2016. The bike share program launched its 2016 expansion program — which will add more than 50 new stations on the Upper East Side and Upper West Side — Monday, August 1.

The expansion project will expand the reach of Citi Bike up to 110th street, which means that riders will be able to grab a bike anywhere from the bottom to top of Central Park.
Two new stations — at West 87 Street and Amsterdam Avenue and at East 88th Street and 5th Avenue — have already been completed as of Monday.
