CHAPPAQUA, NY —The polls have closed and the votes have been tallied. The unofficial results are in. Here's what the voters decided in the 2022 Chappaqua school budget election.

Updated to include final results announced on May 18.

The Chappaqua School District 2021-22 budget was passed.

The budget is $133,963,411 with a 2.69 percent increase over the 2021 -2022 spending package.

School officials said the tax levy will increase by 2.79 percent.

Two board of education seats for 3-year terms and one seat for a 1-year term were up for election.

The winning candidates for the Chappaqua Central School District seats are:

  • Hilary Grasso (incumbent)
  • Ryan Kelsey
  • Warren Messner (unexpired term ending 6/30/23)

The Chappaqua Library budget was passed. The 2022-2023 library budget can be found here.

One library board seat for a 5-year term, one seat for a 2-year unexpired term and one seat for a 1-year unexpired term were up for election. There were no candidates for the Chappaqua Library seats but the write-in winners were: Brian Cook (5-year term), Pam Moskowitz (unexpired term ending 6/30/25) and Jennifer Fahey (unexpired term ending 6/30/24).
