The Really Terrible Orchestra of Westchester is pleased to invite you to our winter concert at the Chappaqua Library on Saturday, Dec. 1st.  The times are as follows:
2 PM -  The RTOW Classical Orchestra under the baton of Nathaniel Chase will perform Carmen Suite No. 1 (Bizet),
Overture to the Magic Flute (Mozart), Overture to Egmont (Beethoven) as well as highlights from My Fair Lady.
3 PM -  The RTOW Dixieland Jazz Band (The Dixieland Express) will play a number of favorites from the Dixieland repertoire.  Vocals will be performed by Maria Martir.
4 PM -  Complementary reception with refreshments.
Admission is free.  Children are welcome.  This is an excellent opportunity for parents to introduce their children to orchestral music in a relaxed and convenient venue.

The Really Terrible Orchestra of Westchester is a not-for-profit ensemble of musical amateurs who do not let rusty skills or fear of success get in the way of philharmonic fun. We are Westchester's splendid substandard symphony!  For the past 3 years we have been playing our music at various venues throughout Westchester: libraries, farmers’ markets, malls, parks and senior communities.

Our mission is to share a love of music and the desire to improve our playing while having FUN!  We provide a non-judgmental, all-inclusive ambiance for all who wish to have the unique experience of playing in a symphony orchestra under the baton of a professional conductor, Nate Chase. We are always seeking new members.  For more information, contact Les Krasnogor at 914-238-9247

Inspired by The Really Terrible Orchestra founded in Edinburgh, Scotland by Alexander McCall Smith about 20 years ago, Westchester's own RTO burst on the artistic scene in 2009 through the efforts of musical director Barbara Rosenthal.  A spinoff, the Really Terrible Dixieland Jazz Band, soon followed.  The Orchestra gives 4 concerts/year throughout our Westchester communities.  Although our audiences are generally adults, we are especially child-friendly providing exposure to both classical and Dixieland Jazz music in a fun setting.
