The Bristal in Armonk Hosted Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Event

Children from fifth grade Girl Scouts Troop 2139 and eighth grade Girl Scouts Troop 1204 joined seniors at The Bristal for the event.

From The Bristal: The Bristal Assisted Living at Armonk, an assisted and independent living community, recently hosted an Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Day for its residents in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association Hudson Valley chapter. Children from fifth grade Girl Scouts Troop 2139 and eighth grade Girl Scouts Troop 1204 joined 40 seniors in The Bristal’s memory care area for an arts and crafts project, creating flowers with purple popcorn, the color of Alzheimer’s disease. The flowers were given to participants at the 2017 Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Purchase on September 24.
