Celebrate America 250! at Pleasantville Day 2026

The Polly Cooper Chapter, NSDAR will be joining the fun at Pleasantville Day with a community booth celebrating America’s upcoming 250th anniversary! Stop by to learn more about the exciting United States Semiquincentennial commemorations and how DAR honors our nation’s history through, historic preservation, education, and, patriotism. Pleasantville Day takes place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Memorial Plaza in Pleasantville, NY.

Families and visitors of all ages are invited to visit the booth for fun patriotic swag and other activities. The Chapter will also be distributing pocket booklets with the Constitution of the United States and the Declaration of Independence to help inspire appreciation for the founding documents that shaped our nation. It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate America’s heritage, connect with the community, and learn more about the work of the DAR as the nation prepares for its America 250!

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR), a non-profit, non-political volunteer service organization, was founded in 1890 to preserve the memory and spirit of those who contributed to securing American independence. More than 1 million women have joined the organization since its founding, to honor their revolutionary ancestors and promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism in their communities. The Polly Cooper Chapter, NSDAR is a local chapter of the DAR with an active membership united by one common bond — an ancestor who served or assisted in the cause for American independence. Chapter service projects support historic preservation, conservation initiatives, veterans and active-duty service members, genealogy research, naturalization ceremonies for new citizens, and more. Our members live throughout Northern Westchester County and beyond.
