Chappaqua to Celebrate Hometown Presidential Favorite on Election Day, Night
Organized events run all day and a couple of gatherings are set for Tuesday night.

CHAPPAQUA, NY – Election Day 2016 could be a historical day for a hamlet that's hoping to become home to the U.S.A.'s first female president – and also the first town with two resident Presidents.
All day long, fun, food and music will be happening at the Chappaqua train station, hosted by Hillary Clinton supporters. At night, there's an open invitation to the community to watch the returns at Chappaqua Tavern, as well as a sold-out party at Crabtree's Kittle House restaurant, which is often the setting for Hillary Clinton’s TV interviews and where she appeared at the Democratic Convention via satellite to accept the presidential nomination.
According to Chappaqua Friends of Hillary president Dawn Greenberg, “We have been working hard for Hillary every single day since she first announced her intention to run – and we are planning to celebrate this day all day long into the night, when we will hopefully be drinking champagne to celebrate our nation’s first woman president Hillary Rodham Clinton!”

Hillary and Bill Clinton moved to the Westchester commuter community in 1999.
"Her warm, unassuming demeanor swiftly assuaged any early concerns that her fame might compromise the small hamlet’s bucolic charm,"said Dawn Dankner-Rosen, president of the Chappaqua-Millwood Chamber of Commerce. "She was quickly embraced as a welcome addition to the community and is now a familiar shopper and friendly face around the town."

Chappaqua Friends of Hillary formed a few weeks after Clinton announced her candidacy in 2015, as 10 neighbors met to toast to their neighbor's success.
The group will base its Nov. 8 activities at Chappaqua Station, a neighborhood hot spot located downtown at the Metro-North train station, throughout the entire day. Organized activities for kids and adults include a pantsuit flash mob, special election day food and beverage options offered by Chappaqua Station, and music provided by DJ Catch1 and the Mike Risko Band.
“In keeping with our desire to be a hub for the community we are happy to be a part of this Election Day celebration," Erin Chase, owner of Chappaqua Station, said. "We look forward to welcoming all of our friends and neighbors to the Station.”
Then in the evening, there are those two special events for watching the returns and hanging out with the neighbors.
"In support of Chappaqua's own Hillary Clinton and all Westchester locals who cast their vote, join us as at Chappaqua Tavern, 76 King St, Chappaqua, from 7-11 p.m. on election night as we tune in to the 2016 election and see America's decision all the while surrounded by great people, great food and great drinks. So get out and vote then come over to Chappaqua Tavern," said New Castle Supervisor Rob Greenstein. "If Hillary wins on Tuesday, it’ll be a historic night for the whole country and very special night in Chappaqua. This is Chappaqua’s game 7, and that's an understatement! It's very exciting, that's for sure!"
Tickets for the party at Crabtree’s Kittle House went on sale last month online and sold out in just two days, with 290 guests now holding tickets and set to attend – and a very long waitlist of those who hope to make it into the event, Dankner-Rosen said.
“The Kittle House has been like a second home to Bill and Hillary Clinton — and many of their important and momentous occasions have been celebrated here since they first moved to Chappaqua,”said John Crabtree, owner. “We are looking forward to a big night and a beautiful celebration for Hillary's most loyal supporters."
