Chappaqua DAR Donates Holiday Gifts to Local Children-in-Need
Members of Polly Cooper Chapter, NSDAR donate gifts through the Kinship Support Program of the Family Service Society of Yonkers

(Chappaqua, NY) Members of the Polly Cooper Chapter, NSDAR were delighted to spread some holiday cheer to 12 local children-in-need through the Kinship Support Program of the Family Service Society of Yonkers. A gift was chosen from each child’s three-item wish list, then wrapped and donated in time for a special delivery from the North Pole.

Family Service Society of Yonkers (FSSY) runs Westchester County’s most extensive programs and services in support of grandparents and other relative caregivers raising children. The Kinship Support Center provides assistance to grandparents and relatives who are raising children, a caregiver support group, “second time around” parenting training and holiday and summer programs for the children.
