From the Neuberger Museum of Art:
Changing your clothes can make you look like a different person! Children make their own stories come alive in a studio session and photo shoot. During guided tours of The Deconstructive Impulse: Women Artists Reconfigure the Signs of Power, 1973-1991, families discover together how artists like Cindy Sherman and Dara Birnbaum use costumes to tell stories. Using costumes and props, kids will then create their own dramatic scenes in which they will pose for photos. They can also create the costume and setting for a small diorama to tell a story. A performance by students in the Purchase College Conservatory programs will round out the experience.
