The Katonah Museum of Art (www.katonahmuseum.org) welcomes local pediatrician Dr. Kathy Purvis, who will read a selection of favorite stories on Saturday, January 29 at 10:30am. Part of the Museum’s Target Picture Story Saturday series, the program will include hands-on art activity inspired by the tales. Target Picture Story Saturdays encourage young children (ages 3 to 6) to use the stories they hear and see as inspiration for their own artwork. Parents also learn how to have conversations with their children about the stories and how to use books as launching points for creative learning.
