Hi Westchester families &mdash; Sarah Bonanno here. Originally from Pleasantville, Hackley alum, and now a CUNY PhD student in English, currently teaching college writing at Brooklyn College. I run <a href="bonannoworkshop.com" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Bonanno Writing Workshop</a>, a freelance writing tutoring practice for high school and college students. I'm currently working with a Pleasantville HS senior on academic writing and college prep, and figured I'd reintroduce myself more broadly as summer prep season approaches. 
 I made a free worksheet for the most common writing problem I see: a thesis that's true but too vague to argue. It walks through three tests (specific / contestable / significant) and the four traps thesis statements usually fall into.
