Supporters came out to purchase sweet treats and raffle tickets and to visit the Kids’ Corner complete with tattoos, candy guessing jar and -- new this year -- the sale of GCBS piggy banks to help inspire children to make charity a part of their everyday lives.
This year, we hosted our first-ever retail bake sale “Treats To Beat Childhood Hunger” with ten local restaurants and bakeries. Each business designated a GCBS dessert item of the week and 100% of the proceeds were donated to No Kid Hungry.

We raised $27,434 and GCBS has now surpassed the $100,000 milestone since its inception in 2010. We are so proud to live in a community that makes charity a priority and has connected hungry children with more than one million meals.
