Chappaqua, NY – Today, former US Senator, Secretary of State, and Democratic Nominee for President Hillary Rodham Clinton endorsed the Democrats for New Castle slate for Supervisor and Town Board. The slate includes: Holly McCall for Town Supervisor, Lori Morton for re-election to the Town Board, and Michael Weinberg, and Jennifer Bounds as candidates to the Town Board.

“I am proud to endorse Holly McCall for New Castle Town Supervisor, Dr. Lori Morton for re-election to the Town Board, and Michael Weinberg and Jen Bounds for election to the Town Board. Bill and I chose New Castle as our home, the one we’ve lived in longest, because of its natural beauty, literary connections and active and engaged community. Holly, Lori, Michael and Jen share a vision for our town that makes it more welcoming, walkable and inclusive. Working with them on my campaigns, I have seen first-hand how much they care about Democratic values. They also deeply care about the town and their neighbors. I have full confidence that each one of them will show true leadership. Please join me in voting for Holly, Lori, Michael and Jen,” said Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton.

This major endorsement comes on the heels of the endorsements for Democrats for New Castle from U.S. Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer, U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Representative Mondaire Jones (NY-17), Representative Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-18), Governor Kathy Hochul, Former Congresswoman Nita Lowey, County Executive George Latimer, Deputy Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins, State Senator Pete Harckham, NYS Assembly Member Chris Burdick, Westchester County Legislator Vedat Gashi, Former New Castle Town Supervisor Ivy Pool and Acting New Castle Town Supervisor Jeremy Saland.
