UPDATE: Woman Trying to Save Cats Dies in Fire
Police have identified the victims in this morning's blaze in Mount Kisco.

UPDATE: County police say Chrystine Nicholas, 86, and George Nicholas, 93, were the residents of the Main Street home that burned early this morning in Mount Kisco.
News12 Westchester said the couple fled the house after smelling smoke and seeing flames. They called the fire department from a nearby gas station. But then she went back into the house to look for her cat.

UPDATE: A woman died in an early morning fire in Mount Kisco, The Journal News reports.
When firefighters arrived at around 6 a.m., they found a man outside who told them his wife was still in the burning building, according to News12.

A fire at 540 Main St. in Mount Kisco closed the street Wednesday morning and sent crews searching through the building for victims.
A woman was removed from the second floor by emergency responders as the fire was knocked down, according to Kempter’s Fire Wire.
She and her husband were taken to the hospital.
Bedford Hills assisted Mount Kisco firefighters.
