Latest Trump Proposal for Seven Springs Gets Conceptual OK

Bedford's planning board refers the matter to the town's zoning board. Seven Springs is in the Byram Lake watershed, which is near Mount Kisco's water supply.

The Bedford Planning Board has given conceptual approval to the nine-lot Seven Springs Estates in Bedford Corners and referred the subdivision to the Zoning Board of Appeals, which will consider several requested variances.

The approval Tuesday night followed several requested adjustments to the plan, resulting in what Seven Springs attorney Charles V. Martabano described as “a good lot configuration” for the Oregon Road site. The adjustments, including lot boundaries and elimination of the proposed equestrian facility on the Reynolds Lot, were explained in detail by engineer Ralph Mastromonaco.

Variances to be requested from the zoning board include impervious surface area, building coverage and setbacks.

The proposal to build a series of mansions is for his 213-acre property, which straddles Bedford and North Castle.

Trump has run into controversy since he bought the property in 1995. That plan was eventually scrapped, with Trump turning his attention to developing houses.
