Letter to the Editor: New Castle Supervisor Reviews Record

The writer, incumbent Rob Greenstein, is being challenged by Victoria E. Alzapiedi.

Dear New Castle Neighbors,

I can’t believe that it was just two years ago that I was elected as your Town Supervisor.

Thank you to those who supported me. I hope that I lived up to your trust. I also want thank all of you, whether you supported me at the election or not, for your enthusiastic support of all that we have done in the last two years. Your support, in emails, phone calls, personal conversations, helped shape our Town. Whether you agreed with me or not didn’t matter---what is important is that you, like me, care.

Yes, being Town Supervisor has been hard work, but I’ve enjoyed it. New Castle is full of energetic and concerned residents of all ages. I view you all as partners in a process and in our progress.

I’ve had the chance to present new ideas and lead us in making great strides. It’s truly difficult to identify the highlights of the last two years, but we are “Getting Things Done”, for sure. Here are just a few examples:

I love being Town Supervisor because I believe that local government is so important. I get to be involved with the things that matter most to people on a daily basis. As you know, we’ve been doers, not talkers. That is, of course, because I’m a good listener. That’s really the key.

As the old song goes, we’ve only just begun. I ask for your vote on Tuesday so we can continue moving forward. because I want to keep working for you. We’re just getting started.

Rob Greenstein

Supervisor, New Castle
