Loud, Bright, Quick: Saw Mill Parkway Repaving Starts Sunday
Here are the details about the detour and the timing.

CHAPPAQUA, NY — The $4.4 million project to repave the Saw Mill River Parkway will start Sunday night. It will affect 15 miles on the highway, from Grant Street to Roaring Brook Road in Mount Pleasant and New Castle. It'll last through October.
New York Transportation Department officials met with New Castle officials earlier in the week to discuss the work.
The parkway will be closed during the work. The schedule will be Sunday through Friday nights 9 pm to 6 am Northbound and 9 pm to 5 am Southbound. The work area extends from Reader’s Digest Road (Exit 33) to Grant Avenue/Marble Avenue Pleasantville.

"The police will be making notifications to our first responders- and NYSDOT has reached out to area hospitals to alert them to the detour- NYS Route 117," said New Castle Town Supervisor Rob Greenstein. "She did want our residents to be aware that it would be loud, very bright but very quick- and that they were doing their best to complete this project with minimal inconvenience to our residents."
