DAR Community Classroom Supports Dr. Edwin R. Weeks Elementary School

Members of the Polly Cooper Chapter, joined DAR members from across New York State to support Dr. Edwin R. Weeks Elementary school in Syracuse. As part of the Community Classrooms Committee, DAR members collected school supplies donated to the school. State Regent Pamela Barrack said, "we were pleased to support local students and provide needed supplies for their classrooms. We hope these items will help their educational endeavors and wish them a successful school year." This months-long project culminated at the state's conference in Syracuse.
Polly Cooper Chapter Regent, Rosemarie Schmidt, along with Honorary Polly Cooper Regents Kari Kjontvedt Weis and Kathy Schreiber traveled to the state conference to deliver the supplies.
Kari Kjontvedt Weis, who also serves as NY DAR Community Classroom State Chair, expressed gratitude for all who have donated classroom supplies to help support classrooms and teachers and support literacy efforts in our communities.
