Polly Cooper Chapter, NSDAR Welcomes 56 New Citizens
Members of the Polly Cooper Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) presented flags at naturalization ceremony in White Plain

(White Plains, NY) Members of the Polly Cooper Chapter, NSDAR participated in the naturalization ceremony at Westchester County Court on Friday, September 8, 2023. The members presented U.S. flags and copies of the Flag Code to welcome 56 new citizens of the United States. Naturalization ceremonies are the final step immigrants must take before becoming a US Citizen, after passing a US citizenship interview and exam.

Polly Cooper Regent, Rosemarie Schmidt noted, " It is such an honor to welcome our newest citizens. The look of joy and pride on their faces as they receive their certificates and flags is heartwarming. Chapter members have represented our national society at the naturalization ceremonies and we were delighted be able to participate once again when ceremonies resumed this year."
