Reported Break-in was Staff, Customer: Mount Kisco Police Blotter
Here are some of the incidents to which the Westchester County Police responded this week

Thursday, Aug. 27 – 7:38 a.m. – Westchester County Police responded to North Bedford Road on a report that a mattress was lying in the road near Burger King. The Department of Public Works was notified and removed the item.
Wednesday, Aug. 26 – 9:38 a.m. – Westchester County Police responded to a residence on Maple Avenue on a report that a light fixture fell from the ceiling on to a bed where a 5-year-old boy was sleeping. The child was not injured. The boy’s father blamed contractors working in the apartment above for the incident and confronted them. The angry dad agreed to return to his apartment and the building’s owner was contacted to come to scene to discuss the incident with the contractors.
12:39 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to Richmond Community Services on a report that a female in her 30s was having difficulty breathing. Paramedics and the Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps also responded to render medical aid at the scene.

12:21 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to an activated burglar alarm at a home on Beverly Road. The premises were secure and the alarm apparently sounded in error.
Monday, Aug. 24 – 11:42 a.m. – A Westchester County Police officer on patrol observed three men outside a hair salon on Lexington Avenue – one of whom was trying to force open its front door with a screwdriver. Further investigation determined that two of the men were employees of the salon who had misplaced the keys to the business. The third man was a customer waiting to get a haircut.

10:46 a.m. – Westchester County Police responded to a residence on Barker Avenue after a man reported that he was concerned that his 21-year-old son was in a highly emotional state. Officers were able to calm the young man, who was subsequently transported by ambulance to Northern Westchester Hospital Center for evaluation.
Sunday, Aug. 23 – 10:31 p.m. – A patron of a restaurant on Main Street reported to Westchester County Police that his car was blocked in by another vehicle in a lot behind the restaurant, preventing him from leaving. The owners of several adjacent vehicles were located and moved their cars, which enabled the complainant to be able to drive away.
1:18 p.m. – Westchester County police responded to a home on Gerber Court on an activated burglar alarm. The alarm was activated accidentally by a real estate agent showing the property to a prospective buyer.
