Upcoming Playwriting Classes in Westchester

Let's Make a Play currently has two Playwriting classes for adults in Westchester.

1. Sunday Playmaking Lab in Mount Kisco:

Join Serena Norr of Let's Make a Play for a 4-week playwriting lab where you will develop your short play or monologue, going from idea to a finished play. Writers will be guided throughout the process as they learn about developing characters, dialogue, tone, setting, place, mood, and more! Readings and shared texts are also part of the course. The last class ends on June 9th with a staged reading of your work. For all adult creatives -- no experience needed. Reach out to serena@letsmakeaplay.com with any questions. 2. Wednesday Playwriting Workshop at Westchester Collaborative Theater in Ossining:

Take a 5-week immersive playwriting workshop. Starting from idea to a full production, the class will include a discussion about the structural components of developing plays as well as character development, tone, and setting. Class will also include readings and analysis of text, group sharing, and one-on-one meetings through the development of students' drafts. Following the the last class, there will be a staged reading of students' 10-minute plays.
