Commack Fire Department Ships Donated Supplies to Victims Of Hurricane Irma

Last week, the department sent a total of 31 pallets of supplies to the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

COMMACK, NY - The Commack Fire Department shipped two trailer loads of donated supplies to the victims of Hurricane Irma in Florida this week.

The department will be sending the last truck will leave Monday, Sept. 18 bound for Florida.

Anyone wishing to make donations can still do so by Sept. 17 at the main fire house on 6309 Jericho Turnpike.

"This has been an overwhelming out reach by the community," the department says. "This is what we do the Commack Fire department helping our neighbors whether in Commack, Texas, Florida or Georgia. Thank you to the community for supporting the Commack Fire department and our neighbors."

Last week, the department collected 31 pallets full of supplies to send to the victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas.
