Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corps Named Emergency Medical Service Agency of the Year
The local agency was honored at the Suffolk Regional Emergency Medical Service Council's 33rd Annual Regional Awards.

The Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corps recently received the award for Emergency Medical Service Agency of the Year.
The local agency was honored at the Suffolk Regional Emergency Medical Service Council’s 33rd Annual Regional Awards Ceremony.
In addition, Lea Data, RN, EMT with the Commack Ambulance Corps was the recipient of the 2016 Suffolk Regional and NYS Emergency Service RN of Excellence Award.

The Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corps was founded in 1967, after an accident took the life of a child in 1964.
It now has 177 members who respond to over 3,600 calls a year.

“As a retired police detective, I know first-hand the incredible work these volunteers perform every day, 365 days a year," Suffolk County Legislator Rob Trotta said. "I am proud to be with them as they receive this much deserved recognition."
