Family Escapes Commack House Fire
About 50 Commack firefighters used nine trucks to battle the blaze.
COMMACK, NY - No injuries were reported in a house fire that broke out at a Commack home on Friday night.
The Commack Fire Department responded to the blaze that broke out in the attic of a Melrose Lane home at about 10 p.m.
The family of three was able to safely escape the fire uninjured.

About 50 Commack firefighters using nine trucks battled the blaze under the direction Chief Richard Myers.
The fire was put out within 45 minutes.

The Kings Park, East Northport and Dix Hills fire departments as well as the Commack Ambulance provided assistance.
The fire appeared to be an accident. The exact cause of the fire is still unknown.
The Suffolk Police Arson Squad and Smithtown Fire Marshal are investigating the incident.
