Masked Man Robs Huntington Station Store at Gunpoint

All customers and employees were forced into the rear of the store Sunday night, police said.

Detectives are investigating a robbery where an armed man entered a Huntington Station store, forced the employees and customers into the rear of the store and made an employee open a safe Sunday night, police said.

According to authorities, a masked man carrying a handgun entered Pier 1 Imports, located at 7 East Jericho Turnpike, and restrained the customers and employees while he removed cash from the register drawers and demanded an employee to open the safe at 7 p.m.

Police described the robber as male, black, between 5-foot-10-inches and 6 feet tall, with a thin to medium build and wearing a mask and a hooded sweatshirt.
