Police: Huntington Station Father, 2 Sons Arrested; Drugs, Weapons Seized From Home

Police executed a search warrant on their Huntington Station home Thursday morning.

A Huntington Station man and his two sons, one who is a gang member, were arrested after authorities issued a search warrant on their 28 11th Ave. home and seized several weapons and thousands of dollars worth of drugs Thursday morning, Suffolk County Police said.

Authorities recovered crack cocaine and marijuana worth about $3,000 to $3,700, digital scales, various drug packaging equipment, a bulletproof vest and a large number of weapons.

The following weapons were seized:

  • A loaded and defaced Tec-9 semiautomatic handgun with a large capacity magazine
  • Two other loaded handguns
  • An imitation pistol
  • More than 500 rounds of ammunition

Zachary Watkins Sr., 75, and his sons Tracy Watkins, 42, a confirmed member of the South Side Posse gang, and Zachary Watkins Jr., 46, were arrested and face several charges.

Zachary Watkins Sr., was charged with three counts of third degree criminal possession of a firearm, criminal possession of a weapon, two counts of third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth degree criminal possession of marijuana and two counts of second degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

Tracy Watkins and Zachary Watkins Jr. were both charged with two counts of second degree criminal possession of a weapon, third degree criminal possession of a weapon, two counts of third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth degree criminal possession of marijuana and two counts of second degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

Suffolk County Police executed the search with the help of the Narcotics Section, Second Precinct Special Operations Team, Criminal Intelligence Bureau and officers from the Second Precinct Patrol Section, Second Precinct Gang Unit, Emergency Service Section and Canine Section.
