WATCH: Limo Driver Texts His Way to the Hamptons With 45 Passengers on Bus

A driver from Commack’s M&V Limousine has been fired after a startling video showing him texting while driving a packed bus to the Hamptons was posted on Facebook.

The 23-second video posted by Commack resident Amanda Castellano on Sunday has been viewed more than 100,000 times.

Casetellano wrote under the video: “This limo driver was responsible for the lives of 45 people. He drove us all the way to the Hamptons while texting and driving the ENTIRE time. I called M&V Limo company in Commack on Monday to address the situation and they still haven’t gotten back to me. Due to recent tragedies, I do not take this lightly. If you are just as appalled by this situation please share this video to make a statement.”

The incident occurred on July 19, just a day after four young women from the Town of Smithtown were killed in a crash between a limo and a pickup truck in Cutchogue.

The president and CEO of M&V Limousine, Mark Vigliante, says he just found about the incident on Sunday.

“We do not condone texting and driving,” Vigliante wrote in response to a post on the company’s Facebook page. “When I found this out today the driver was dealt with and fired and will no longer be a driver for M&V. We have been in business for 23 years and have an excellent safety record. Safety of our passengers is our number one concern.”
