Deer Park Man Convicted For 3 Knifepoint Robberies In Suffolk: DA
The 52-year-old was caught robbing 3 gas stations in 2018, the DA said.

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY - A Deer Park man was convicted on Thursday on charges related to three knifepoint gas stations robberies in 2018, Suffolk County District Attorney Timothy D. Sini said.
According to the DA, 52-year-old Victor Carlton was convicted on three counts of first degree robbery for the following incidents:
- On Nov. 4, 2018, Carlton robbed a Sunoco Gas Station on 1985 Deer Park Avenue in Deer Park, at knifepoint.
- On Dec. 14, 2018, Carlton entered a Conoco Gas Station on 3089 Middle Country Road in Lake Grove, displayed a knife and demanded money from the register. When the attendant did not immediately comply with the demand, Carlton jabbed the victim several times with the knife, resulting in minor injuries.
- On Dec. 17, 2018, Carlton entered a Stop & Fuel gas station on 1171 Sunrise Highway in Bay Shore, and robbed the clerk at knifepoint.
Surveillance video of the robberies was released by Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and aired on News 12, resulting in tips that led to Carlton’s arrest, the DA said.

License plate readers also detected Carlton’s car in the vicinity of two of the robberies within minutes of when the crimes occurred, the DA said.
Following an investigation by the Suffolk County Police Department’s Major Case Unit, Carlton was arrested on Dec. 23, 2018.

Carlton faces a maximum sentence of up to 25 years in prison on each count. He is scheduled to be sentenced by Suffolk County Court Judge Timothy Mazzei on Oct. 7.
"This case exemplifies the great work our Major Case Bureau does each and every day to target and prosecute individuals driving crime and violence in our communities," Sini said.
