Second Starbucks Planned For DPA
Coffee chain looks to take over a vacant gas station at the cross street of Woods Road.
Coffee addicts will have no trouble getting their caffeine fix as Starbucks plans its third location in the Deer Park-North Babylon area.
The Town of Babylon's planning board will review an application from Deer Park Associates Monday to replace the vacant Mobile gas station at the corner of Woods Road and Deer Park Avenue near the Sunset Plaza, with a Starbucks that will include 15 seats and a drive-thru.
If approved, it will be the coffee chain's second location on Route 231 and the third in the Deer Park-North Babylon area. The first is less than two miles up the road from the planned addition, and another is located within Tanger Outlets at the Arches in Deer Park.

A public hearing on the plans will be held Monday, July 23 at 7 p.m. at Town Hall, located at 200 East Sunrise Highway, Lindenhurst, NY 11757.
Early in June, Patch residents for their feedback on what they would like to see fill the vacant gas station. One commenter, Lou D'Amaro, who said in the original story that he would like a Starbucks, is getting his wish.
