16th Annual Shelter Island Fall 5K Run/Walk to Take Place This Weekend

The 16th annual Shelter Island Fall 5K Run and 5K Walk will be taking place this weekend.

The race will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 17 at Crescent Beach on Shore Road.

The registration fee for those registering before Thursday is $30 and $10 for children ages 14 and under.

Participants can also register on the day of the race for $40.

Medals will be awarded to the top finishers and new awards will be made for the first place breast cancer survivor runner and walker.

A prize will be awarded to the team with the most participants.

All proceeds from the event will be dispersed between the North Fork Breast Health Coalition and the Coalition for Women’s Cancers at Southampton Hospital.

There will be also be a raffle to benefit Lucia’s Angels.
