8th Annual Am O'Gansett St. Patrick's Day Parade, World's Shortest, Kicks Off Saturday

The festivities begin at noon on Main Street.

EAST HAMPTON, NY - Amagansett is putting on the green this weekend for its "self-proclaimed, world's shortest" St. Patrick's Day parade.

The 8th Annual Am O'Gansett St. Patrick's Day Parade steps off at noon on Saturday at the corner of Mary's Marvelous, then turns around and heads back once it reaches Stephen Talkhouse.

We hope you will join us as we march up and down Main Street to kick off the season of the wearin' of the green," organizers said. "It's all good, clean fun and a family friendly event."

This year, the Amagansett Free Library will serve as grand marshal and lead the parade down Main Street. The Library is also celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.

After the parade, the Chamber will host a reception at the Library in the community room, with light refreshments and cupcake decorating for kids.

Those with a Main Street business are asked to let customers and clients know that the road will be closed a little before noon and will re-open right after the parade — which won't take long.
