"Dark Was The Night" Films in the Hamptons

A new film by director Jack Heller has been filming in the Hamptons and will finish at East Hampton Studio.

Caliber Media Company, Sundial Pictures and Preferred Content have started production on the thriller “Dark Was the Night.” The horror-drama, directed by Jack Heller, takes place in the fictional isolated town of Maiden Woods, where a nearby logging company has disrupted the balance of the life in the woods. From the frozen forest, an evil emerges and threatens the locals; their only hope is the local Sheriff and Deputy.

The standout feature or main attraction of this film is the monster. Kevin Durand and Lukas Haas, the leads, will battle this never-before-seen monster.

The production filmed February 19-March 17 in Sag Harbor and Southampton and ends up at East Hampton Studio where they will shoot scenes from The Sheriff's station.
