Burglar Who Stole More Than $5K in DJ Equipment Caught: Police

BREAKING: The burglary took place at The Leo Club on Three Mile Harbor Road, police said.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — A thief who stole more than $5,000 in DJ equipment from The Leo Club in East Hampton has been caught, police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police, after an investigation and search warrant, Scott D. Golden, 47, of East Hampton was arrested on Friday at 7:29 p.m. at his home and charged with one count of third degree burglary, a felony, one count of third degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony, one count of third degree criminal mischief, a felony, and one count of possession of burglar tools, a misdemeanor.

Golden, police said, was charged after an investigation into a commercial burglary at The Leo Club, located at 44 Three Mile Harbor Road, on August 8 at approximately 1:46 a.m.

Proceeds from the burglary included DJ equipment valued at more than $5,000, police said.

Golden was slated to be arraigned at East Hampton justice court on Saturday, police said.
