Learn about the wonders of your universe! On Tues June 30th, at 6:00 PM, join Hamptons Observatory at the East Hampton Library for a free, in-person lecture, “How to Choose and Use Your Telescope.” If you don’t know which telescope to buy, or if you already have a telescope but don’t know how to use it, or if there’s a problem with your equipment, this program is for you! Dan Higgins, veteran amateur astronomer, a Fellow in the Royal Astronomical Society, and the founder of AstroWorld Telescopes and AstroWorldTV, will answer your questions. Dan and Hamptons Observatory astronomers will also provide hands-on help with your individual issues. Feel free to bring your telescope. If time and weather permit, afterwards we’ll all go outside to do some stargazing, put your new knowledge to work, and maybe even see the “planet parade.”
Daniel Higgins has been an amateur astronomer for decades, a passion that started at the age of 7 when he first saw Saturn through a telescope. He has always made a point of sharing his expertise and knowledge of astronomy with others, in fact, in May 2022, he was honored as a Fellow in the Royal Astronomical Society, a testament to his dedication and significant contribution to the field. He is also an Explore Scientific Alliance Ambassador. Dan is founder of AstroWorld Telescopes—a company that sells telescope equipment and astrophotography gear--and AstroWorldTV—a global, online community where astronomers and astrophotographers come together to share knowledge, overcome challenges, and celebrate the wonders of the night sky. AstroWeb hosts weekly chats on YouTube, Facebook and Twitch: Wednesdays at 8PM for more technical discussions and Fridays at 8:00 PM for basic chats.

Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center (<a href="https://wildliferescuecenter.org" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://wildliferescuecenter.org</a>) invites community members of all ages to enjoy a unique lunchtime experience with some of the Center's most beloved animal ambassadors.
Beginning Wednesday, July 1 guests are welcome to join Vlad and the Wildlife Rescue Center's Education Birds every Wednesday from noon to 1:30 p.m. for an engaging and informative wildlife presentation at the Center's Hampton Bays location.
Visitors are encouraged to bring their own lunch and enjoy the Center's picnic tables while learning about native wildlife, conservation efforts, and the stories behind the rescued birds that now serve as educational ambassadors. The weekly gatherings offer a relaxed opportunity for families, nature enthusiasts, and community members to connect with wildlife and gain a deeper appreciation for the animals that call Long Island home.

Lion's Nook Bar &amp; Grill is now open in the heart of East Hampton Village, welcoming guests to its beautifully reimagined space at 10 Main Street in the Parrish Mews. The newest venture from Parioli Hospitality, the team behind the beloved Springs Tavern &amp; Grill, offers a refined yet approachable dining experience rooted in exceptional hospitality, seasonal American cuisine, and a warm neighborhood atmosphere.
Paying tribute to Lion Gardiner, one of East Hampton's earliest English settlers, Lion's Nook also honors the rich history of the location, formerly home to O'Malley's and Rowdy Hall. The thoughtfully renovated restaurant blends the timeless charm of a classic English pub with a fresh, sophisticated aesthetic, creating a welcoming gathering place for both locals and visitors.
The restaurant is led by Alex Rossi, founder of Springs Tavern &amp; Grill and son of acclaimed restaurateur Rubrio Rossi, in partnership with Gary Fuhrman, a longtime East Hampton Village resident and entrepreneur. The leadership team also includes General Manager Raul Rodas and Executive Chef Fabian Rodas, both of whom helped establish Springs Tavern &amp; Grill as a favorite East End destination.
"Over the past four years, we've been incredibly well received by the Springs community and beyond," said Rossi. "Gary and I felt it was the right time to bring something new to the Village. We wanted to create a place where guests can enjoy freshly prepared meals, thoughtful service, and an inviting atmosphere while honoring the history of this iconic location. Our goal is for Lion's Nook to become a place people return to again and again."
Lion's Nook's menu showcases elevated American cuisine featuring locally sourced seafood, premium meats, and seasonal produce, alongside beloved tavern classics including its signature burger. St. Luke 's Episcopal Church

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church invites the community to the annual St. Luke’s Summer Fair on Saturday, July 5, on the church lawn in the heart of East Hampton Village.
A treasured East Hampton tradition, the Summer Fair is a joyful day for families, neighbors, parishioners, and summer visitors. Admission is free, and children’s wristbands will be available for $40 for children ages 2 and older to enjoy fair activities, including classic games, pony rides, and other family-friendly fun.
Guests can also enjoy a food stand, bake sale, vintage clothing, silent auction, and other favorite fair traditions. Proceeds from the Summer Fair support St. Luke’s and its outreach efforts, including local nonprofit partners such as Springs Food Pantry and Maureen’s Haven.
