A survey of the artist’s oil on canvas works from the late 1990s through 2014, the exhibition explores Ms. Foss’ organic affinity for nature including bold blue seascapes and vast flat field landscapes painted in the tradition of Fairfield Porter, Jane Frelicher, Robert Dash and Jane Wilson. Other works focus on the horticulturally lush oases inside New York City’s Central Park. Additionally featured are several portraits of family members and friends. Together, the works reflect a life committed to painting.
