Drunk Driver With Busted Taillight Cuffed on Meetinghouse Lane: Police
The man was charged with DWI, a felony, due to a prior conviction, police said.

EAST HAMPTON, NY - An East Hampton man was arrested after he was found driving drunk on Meetinghouse Lane in Amagansett, police said.
According to East Hampton Police, Zachary Persico, 27, was arrested on Saturday at 1:10 a.m. after he was observed driving east on Montauk Highway near Meetinghouse Lane. Persico had a broken taillight on the passenger side that was hanging off the vehicle, police said.
Upon interviewing Persico, police said he had the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, bloodshot and glassy eyes, slow speech, and demonstrated "slow, uncoordinated fine motor skill movements while retrieving his license from his wallet." He also performed poorly on standardized field sobriety tests, police said.

He was charged with driving while intoxicated, a felony due to a prior conviction within the past 10 years, police said, and bail was set at $5,000 cash.
