East Hampton Anti-Bias Task Force to Host Two Movie Night Events
The events will take place on Feb. 27 and March 6.

The East Hampton Anti-Bias Task Force will be hosting to two events for the local community in the upcoming weeks.
Recently, the Anti-Bias Task Force sponsored a short film student contest and will now be showing these local films on Feb. 27 and March 6 during their Movie Night event.

On Friday, Feb. 27 at LTV Studios on 75 Industrial Road in East Hampton, starting at 7 p.m., the Academy Award-winning documentary, “Mighty Times: The Children’s March” will be presented.

The film tells the story of the young people of Birmingham, Alabama who took heroic action bybraving arrest, fire hoses, and police dogs in 1963 to march for justice during the Civil Rights Movement.
On Friday, March 6 starting at 7 p.m., LTV Studios will again host the Anti-Bias Task Force and the Academy Award-winning documentary, “A Time for Justice.”

Narrated by Civil Rights leader Julian Bond and featuring Congressman John Lewis, the film presents a short history of the Civil Rights Movement through historical footage of dramatic moments.
Following each of these movie showings, Reverend Katrina Foster will lead a panel discussion concerning the film’s subjects and their relationship to today’s society.
Baked delights and refreshments will be served, courtesy of an Anti-Bias Task Force member.
